Construction

There are four main types of construction: solid, CoriTech core, honeycomb core, and stile and rail. Some designs feature a combination of solid and honeycomb core. Knowing a door's construction is important when considering security or placement or door furniture. See door construction descriptions.

Profiles

Determining routing and moulding detail from pictures can be difficult. These profile symbols help illustrate some of the various routing and moulding combinations available.

Finish

Doors are supplied unfinished and are available in either a timber veneer or a factory primed finish. Staining and painting symbols tell you what finish can be applied. Note that veneered doors may be stained or painted. Primed doors can be painted only.
